Hopefully this will get Astellas moving on the Liver partnership.
They must have some data they can add to this study

I think you should get the gold medal award for findings interesting study results on the web Joey.

I just took this one to linkedIn, just like I did with others.

Keep on bringing the good stuff- helps in "singing the gospel on fat cells"

On your comment- sure - Astellas and Cytori DID discover something that must make it interesting for both Companies.

Time will tell. :yep:

Board moderator and Site-owner. I still regret the day I started analysing the prospects of MacroPore (now Cytori) back in 2004- a left-over from the tech-bubble at that time from the century change in my portfolio- and became addicted to Cytori´s fat cell technology.

Nice find Joey.

This does seem to indicate that for organs....large volumes of cells will be needed. Of course the liver is the largest, I wonder if findings such as the one you posted also played a role in expanding ATHENA.

Even with the larger harvest size in this stude (1 liter of fat) they still did expansion over 8 days.

I wonder if Stanford was brought in by Cytori after Astellas started dragging their feet on a partnership ? I guess what I am asking is I wonder how Stanford decided on this approach ? I hope Astellas has still been working behind the scenes with this indication as the article shows the Stanford approach here is still years from trials.

Great article. Thanks for posting it. The discovery and use of "spherical culture" of the ARDC's by these researches could make the problem of cell differentiation a less daunting problem. The ability for a celution system to speed up the harvest of ARDC's for research alone could be a boon for CYTX.
