Those days should be clearly over by now, so its time for some news I would say- Cugat presented on June 10th- remember?

Dr. Ramón Cugat MD, Ph.D. will present 12-month follow-up results from a 20-patient, single arm, open label pilot study on the use of Cytori Cell Therapy in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. The presentation is titled ‘Biological Augmentation of ACL Reconstruction’ and will be made to The Orthobiologic Institute (TOBI) 7th Annual PRP and Regenerative Medicine Symposium in Las Vegas on June 10, 2016.
Patients in the study had sports-related injuries leading to complete rupture of their ACL, a relatively common sports injury that can impact the long-term careers of professional athletes as well as the ability of non-professional athletes to participate in active lifestyles. All patients in the study received Cytori Cell Therapy as an adjunct to bone-patellar tendon-bone grafting to reconstruct the ACL. Data to be presented include safety, feasibility, patient-reported outcomes related to activity levels and pain as well as serial magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the knee through one year. Data have been compared to a historical control group of similar patients treated at the same center by the same surgical team using the same procedure without supplementation with Cytori Cell Therapy.

And since we did not hear any results, we were told to be patient for 4-6 weeks or so...

At least there is data out now, for the procedure WITHOUT Cytori Cell Therapy... :yep: - so -lets say, the placebo response can be eliminated doing it separately...

Author information
Injury and surgery of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) are very frequent within the sports environment. The purpose of the present study is to assess the level at which a group of athletes were able to return to play (RTP) after ACL reconstruction, and most importantly, the time for RTP.
A prospective study with patients who presented an ACL injury and underwent ligament reconstruction surgery; a bone-tendon-bone reconstruction and a minimum follow-up of 24 months. The rates of RTP as well as correlations with IKDC and KT-1000 were collected.
42 patients were included (mean age 31.7 years old). Mean Tegner level was 6.7. 9.5 % of patients returned to sports 6 months after surgery, 52.3 % at 1 year, and 73.8 % at 2 years after ACL reconstruction. 11 patients did not achieve their preoperative Tegner level after 2 years of follow-up. Levels of KT-1000 of the operated side were normal, and IKDC levels reached 90 % of total.
Fear to a new injury, psychological factors, personality, type of life, and sports level previous to the injury are factors that influence when it comes to RTP after an ACL surgery. Level of evidence Level II descriptive analysis.

Board moderator and Site-owner. I still regret the day I started analysing the prospects of MacroPore (now Cytori) back in 2004- a left-over from the tech-bubble at that time from the century change in my portfolio- and became addicted to Cytori´s fat cell technology.
