As written on Yahoo just before- but with the link to the paper-

Kaas, Take a read of this 2006 study and please share your thoughts: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1634/stemcells.2005-0342/full Study seems to indicate that adipose derived mesenchymnal cells are equal to BM derived cells for bone and cartilage applications contrary to some other things that have been published. WST

Yes- I have come across that one too. There are several more taking results from the petri-dish and drawing general conclusions. Especially in osteogenic- and chondrogenic differentiation those papers have been showing variable results, but the trend has been like in this one- i.e. same potential- BM vs ADSC, although in respect of access and aging of cells etc we all know where the major benefits lie.
Similar with rodent, rabbit and other pre-clinicals-but the main thing remain to be the human experience. We both know what the knee expert from Colorado thinks, although I suspect him not have optimal ADSC extraction techniques.
I have always said, that ADSCs might need a stimulant i.e. an additive. I found an interesting Korean study, which kind of supports that- i.e. case reports from patients. We really need the results of a bigger study like the one in the UK.

:P here one can even show picture and videos- :woohoo:

Board moderator and Site-owner. I still regret the day I started analysing the prospects of MacroPore (now Cytori) back in 2004- a left-over from the tech-bubble at that time from the century change in my portfolio- and became addicted to Cytori´s fat cell technology.
