>>> In DOW terms we may fall back into the old range of lower 24K to lower 27K. News flow is what will matter. <<<

Well that didn't take long with current futures red again.

Something closer to the lower end of the range ? VIX 35 or above ? RSI even more oversold ?
Comments by former FED governor Fischer also plated a role today imho. Maybe the FED isn't gonna rush in to pick up the pieces...at least not right away.

I did view and listen to some commentaries in the last few hours and based on all those, a further downwards trend (30-35%) for the DAX here in Germany, which would correspond to about 19K for the Dow does not seem totally ridiculous, in my view.

Board moderator and Site-owner. I still regret the day I started analysing the prospects of MacroPore (now Cytori) back in 2004- a left-over from the tech-bubble at that time from the century change in my portfolio- and became addicted to Cytori´s fat cell technology.

But surely it all will go in waves like always- High Noon for traders following the waves I guess.

Fas, 22k on the Dow possible - I don't see 19k happening.

HF - why do you suppose that gold (a usual safe haven) has actually declined of late, particularly with Treasury Bonds at record lows?

Have to love bear market swings

Anyway...in terms of Dow lows....if it does break below the 24K and change of the range I mentioned the other day then the next target would be the late December 2018 lows of 22K area as RS mentioned however a full recession or even recession like scare could not only bring in Fas 19K target but even give up the full run since the Trump election.. Many many moving pieces...not just Cov19 but that was the primer.

RS...as far as gold...saw something about Japan in the market but know of no details.
