RS, I have heard from 2 sources gold north of $1525 US should be bullish for a move higher
I am not following and have not looked at this at all but thought it may be of interest to you.
I will add simply a observation that it has danced around that area and closed above it but no serious run yet...please use your own judgement and DD
I'm still not a player in the space but I hope you are. Always happy when people make money (legally) and you certainly nail this call. Congrats !!!

PS - recent insider selling of NG has taken some of the glow off the stock at least for now - I lightened up last week and this morning - stock more than doubled in 3 months - will re-visit at some point.:yep: :nice:

What is interesting is the spot price of gold keeps rising despite the bull dollar run.
Short term distortions not all that unusual but they have basically been rising together since the beginning of July
Imagine if the dollar started to fall...in other countries gold has to be near or at record highs as most currencies have fallen against the dollar and gold is traded in dollars.

HF, excellent point and yes unusual - obviously, negative interest rates in many countries o/s the US and the prospect of declining rates here are the cause - my guess is that rates here will continue to decline as the economy weakens - the lower rates here could eventually lower the value of the dollar (although dollar strength obviously consists of more than just interest rates) - the run-up in gold is certainly not over, but some bumps in the road would not be unusual - my last post related more to NG than gold in general, and I will likely re-visit that decision sooner than later.

Bought back some NG as stock retreated to the 6.80's, down from high 7.95 on 8/27.

PS - bought back a lot more at 6.05 today Sept. 16!!

NG again testing support.
Gap just below $5 begging to be filled but this is following headlines before technical
Quiet will = weakness

HF, I totally sold out last week - you may be right about the $5 - I certainly would be a buyer below $5 of the stock and options.

Yeah, $5 area is kinda no mans land with $$.50 a better support area. Doesn't matter right now as NG has again held....problem is if support does break it will become strong resistance with all of these bounces.
Unrest all around the world right now, maybe support holds longer term and again starts to move forward again. Anyone's guess.

I saw RCEL again popped to new highs last week. I will be curious about earnings there.

HF, you were mistaken about NG - back in when over 50-day moving average - may see $10 before your $5!

Or this one earlier

Still not a player.
Last time I played a individual gold stock was GG which I believe is bought out these days. Anyway, back then they were mining the richest ore on the planet but it never last of course...still there was $ to be made and the overall environment was stronger imho. Did you rebuy NG ?

Yes, in the 6.60's including March 8 calls. HF, after the recent 10 point decline in TWTR following the recent earnings release, is there any price at which you would buy the stock - I am interested, but not ready to pull the trigger.

TWTR
Wow that's a tough one.
On a purely technical basis, yes it appears oversold here with a closing RSI of 18.09.
However, it has also had 3 spikes down to the 26's then bouncing but current pricing also seems to have support.
I don't follow and don't believe I have even traded it in the past but I do know CEO said they wont be accepting any political ads so that seems like a big loss of potential revenue. Otherwise I would leave the fundamentals to you.
If I didn't know the stock and just had the chart to look at, yes it may be worth a shot with maybe a partial position and adding at that lower $26's area if it got there without further bad news.
I would be limited to my risk tolerance though...in other words money you don't mind losing or having be tied up for awhile.
I usually save my bigger bets on stocks I don't mind owning should things not work out short term or have a stop loss in mind.
Decision purely yours.
Good Luck !!!!!!!!!!

HF, I gave some more thought re the political ad elimination that Twitter recently announced - not sure that it will really cost them all that much - however, I think I know why they did it and just out of principle I wouldn't buy the stock at any price - this is a Company that it is oblivious to where its bread is buttered.

Sold out of NG yesterday - gold has weakened as treasury rates have increased - may re-visit in the 5's?
